Every foundation has a story
Ours didn't begin with an organization.
It began around family dinner tables, in a Texas barbecue restaurant, inside honky-tonks filled with country music, through generations of military service and first responders and neighbors helping neighbors.
It was shaped by tragedy, strengthened by kindness and inspired by a promise made more than twenty years ago — that one day, when life slowed down, I’d spend my time giving back to the communities that gave so much to us.
Today that promise has become the Texas Honky-Tonk Crowd Foundation.

What we do
Who we show up for
Whether we’re serving a meal, supporting veterans, first responders, young Texans or families, hosting charitable events or responding when communities are in need, our commitment remains the same.
Veterans & Military
Our family has worn every branch’s uniform — from the USS Enterprise in World War II to Vietnam. We stand with the Texans who answered the call, and with the families who waited on them.
First Responders
Law enforcement, firefighters and EMS carried our family through the hardest days of our lives. We support the people who spend their careers standing beside strangers on the worst day of theirs.
Young Texans
Mentoring, youth service opportunities and leadership development — because the next generation of Texans learns to give back by being invited to the table.
Families in Need
An illness, an injury or an unexpected hardship can change a family’s life overnight. Texas Cares meets people in those moments with practical, dignified help.
Neighbors & Community
Volunteer projects, local partnerships and neighborhood service — the ordinary work of making a place stronger than you found it.
Hope & Healing
Peer support, mental health awareness and trauma-informed resources for people carrying burdens they rarely talk about.
